Hi, I’m Laurie.
I’ve been painting since I was 7, when I first fell in love with art at the Dana Point Art Center under the guidance of my longtime mentor and dear friend, Maurine Lacher.
Today, I’m a contemporary artist based in Dana Point, creating vibrant acrylic pieces inspired by coastal life, bold color, and everyday joy.
Growing up by the ocean shaped everything about my style. I’m especially inspired by artists like Leroy Neiman, whose fearless use of color taught me that art should feel alive.
Painting is my happy place. As a mom, partner, and business owner, it’s where I slow down, reconnect, and pour my heart onto canvas. Most days, you’ll find me painting at home with my son Jim cheering me on and my fiancé Adrian supporting me every step of the way.
Creating and sharing my art here in Dana Point fills my heart with gratitude. Being part of the Orange County art community means more to me than words can say, and I’m thankful for every friend, family member, and collector who welcomes my work into their lives.
My goal is simple: to create art that makes you smile and feel proud to call it yours.
